Fish Fingers

Fish fingers, known as fish sticks in North America and by translations of that name in most other languages, are a processed food made using a whitefish, such as cod, haddock or pollock, which has been battered or breaded.

They are commonly available in the frozen food section of supermarkets. They can be baked in the oven, grilled, shallow fried, or deep-fried.

Ingredients

Fish Marination:
  • Fish (red snapper) 800g
  • Garlic (paste) 5-6 cloves
  • Vinegar or lemon juice 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt according to taste
 Fish Batter:
  • Eggs 2
  • Soy sauce 2.5 - 3.5 tbsp
  • Chili sauce 3-3.5 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Chicken powder 1 tsp
  • Fine flour (there is no set ratio)
  • Corn flour 

Cooking Directions

Fish Marination:
  1. Take red snapper fish, cut in finger shape. 
  2. Add garlic paste, vinegar & salt, mix them well.
  3. Keep it in fridge for sometimes.
Fish batter:
  1. Add eggs in a bowl & beat them. 
  2. Now add soy sauce, chilli sauce, black pepper & chicken powder in above mixture. 
  3. Now mix well; do not add any water. 
  4. Add fine flour and cornflour in equal quantity.
  5. You need to keep adding them in equal amount till they get a bit stiff.
  6. Now put fish in batter and roll in bread crumbs.
  7. Deep fry the fish. 
  8. Don't stir too much while frying.
